It is unclear if the series will do the same or be set within its own separate universe. The movie is also assumed to take place in the DCEU. The movie will be more grounded in the timeline and will just feature John Stewart and Hal Jordon in prominent roles. Despite a live-action Green Lantern series being in development at HBO Max, Warner is still moving forward with a Green Lantern Corps movie with John Stewart.
